What’s been happening:

Just finishing what has been a very exciting, never boring almost 50- year career in advertising. I grew up in the ad agency, Leo Burnett, based in Chicago. Moved to Los Angeles in the early 80s as a top creative director with the Interpublic Group. Was transferred back to Chicago with McCann Erickson and then opened my own agency in 1985, which remains today as The Wagner Group. Over the years, I've enjoyed the challenge of solving client problems in many product categories. Probably most recognized for my campaigns for iced tea (Take the Nestea Plunge), United Air Lines (Friendly Skies), and US Savings Bonds (Take Stock in America). My campaigns have won numerous awards and I'm very proud of that. Originally born and raised in Pittsburgh, I am currently residing in the Lincoln Park section of Chicago. I have a son, Bradley, and sister, Joanne, living in Pittsburgh and a lovely, talented grandaughter, Emma, attending the Boston Conservatory of Music. I look forward to my guest lecturer trips to the Penn State School of Communications and completing two books on my experiences in advertising. I'm a die-hard fan of our Nittany Lions and, of course, those amazing Super Bowl Champions, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
